• Logbook page 1. I started on 12m CW and had a pipeline into W4 (especially NC/TN), just as I did on Saturday (NASOTA day). Conditions were good on 15m as well.
• Logbook page 2. After doing 15m CW, I headed back to 12m to take advantage of the great opening and tried SSB instead of CW. With three more 12m QSOs in the log, I headed for the SOTA mainstay band (20m).
• Logbook page 3. 20m produced fewer QSOs than usual, so I headed to 30m which had some strange QSB effects. When Dan NA6MG first called in he was a solid 559, then quickly faded down into the noise, then after a few repeat attempts came back up to barely copyable. I was barely copyable at his end as well. During activations earlier this year Dan and I were typically 599 each way, no matter who was activating. 40m ended up working a lot better for the shot to Southern California and Dan was back up to 599.
• Logbook page 4. It was neat to hear Matt KF7PXT call in, he's a new CW operator and doing great on that mode. I finished up on 17m, and K9EZ ended up being both my first and last contact of the activation. I made 43 QSOs overall, no summit-to-summit QSOs, but after making 40 of them on Saturday I wasn't disappointed at all. Thanks to everyone who gave me a call!
