  • Kicked back in the Crazy Creek chair and making contacts.
  • My view while operating, I am facing east.
  • To my left about 45 degrees, the Sierra Valley stretches out below me. Todd KH2TJ's house is down there somewhere on the far side of the valley. Dixie Mountain (W6/CN-006) is the tallest peak on the skyline left of center. I activated that one on New Year's Eve day, 2011 (see my photo album).
  • 90 degrees to my right, the summit of Mt. Lola (W6/NS-111) is visible through the trees.
  • After an hour or so on the air and maybe a half hour taking down the antenna and stowing the gear, I'm packed up and ready to head back down.

  • Logbook page 2. I called CQ for 10 minutes or so on 40m CW (7.044) but didn't get any takers. Thanks to everyone who worked me!
